Upcycling, repurposing, and reusing frame Gloria’s creative energies. Remainders Pasadena is her heaven on earth! Gloria grew up in a home full of sewing, knitting, and paper crafts, as well as music. She studied music and theater at Occidental College and Cal State LA, and visual art at Pasadena City College. During an internship at Bread and Puppet Theatre in Vermont she was introduced to the incredible creative potential of cardboard. Perhaps because of her background in the performing arts, Gloria finds it almost impossible to make something flat that hangs on a wall. She loves making three (or four!) dimensional pieces with an interactive element. The tactile experience is as important to her as the visual experience. Gloria has taught art, theater, and shadow puppetry workshops for children and adults in various settings across Southern California.
