Paper Marbling
Description: Discover the mesmerizing art of paper marbling in this hands-on class exploring both classic paper marbling, which uses colorful paints to create bold, swirling patterns and Suminagashi, the ancient Japanese technique of floating ink on water. Participants will learn the unique methods behind each style and create a collection of beautifully marbled papers perfect for cards, journals, bookbinding, collage, and other creative projects. No experience is necessary.
Materials Included: All necessary tools and materials.

Instructor: Robin Cox
Robin Cox is the founder and Executive Director of Remainders and as an artist, educator, and lifelong advocate for creative reuse, she has dedicated her career to making arts education accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds. She studied art at UCLA and the Sorbonne, and her teaching emphasizes creativity, sustainability, hands-on skill building, and the belief that everyone has the ability to create. Through classes in sewing, mixed media, printmaking, fiber arts, and upcycled art, she inspires students to discover their creative voice while giving new life to reclaimed materials.
Location:
All classes take place UPSTAIRS in our CREATIVE SPACE unless otherwise noted. Use the exterior stairs on the side of the building to enter.
