Kids Painted Art Dolls

Description: Let imagination come to life in this class where kids design, create and paint their own unique art dolls. Inspired by folk art, storytelling, and character design, students will transform simple fabric dolls into colorful, one-of-a-kind creations using acrylic paints, markers, fabric, yarn, and decorative embellishments. Through step-by-step instruction, participants are encouraged to express their creativity by inventing original characters or drawing inspiration from nature, fantasy, or their own imaginations. By the end of the class, each student will take home a finished painted art doll and new artistic skills in painting, mixed media, and creative storytelling.

Materials Included: All necessary tools and materials.

Instructor: Sarena Vasquez

Sarena (she/they) is an artist, yogi, and self-compassion enthusiast! She has a BFA in animation and feels a profound sense of purpose through community-centered initiatives. Her favorite way to explore creativity is through “play” where she tries to create without judgment, expectation, or rigidity. Sarena’s desire is to express herself with love & authenticity and to help others do the same – especially for the Queer and Neurodivergent community, through the wonderful world of art.

Location:

All classes take place UPSTAIRS in our CREATIVE SPACE unless otherwise noted. Use the exterior stairs on the side of the building to enter.
