Intro to Zines

Saturday, October 24: 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Description: Discover the creative world of zines in this fun, beginner-friendly class. Participants will learn what zines are and explore simple techniques for folding, cutting, copying, collage, drawing, writing, and page layout. Using reclaimed papers and found materials, each student will create their own small handmade zine to take home and instructions on how to scan/replicate it as well for future use. No previous art or publishing experience is required, and all materials are provided.

Materials: All materials provided, but participants are encouraged to bring additional images if you like.

Kids under 9: must attend with a grown up which can be one sign up.

Kids age 9-15: Drop off & sign in all students; pick up and sign out all students; Parents are free to stay for the class to assist your child; parents will be called to pick up their child immediately if there is an attitude or discipline issue.

PLEASE NOTE: There is NO PARKING in the back lot for daytime classes due to staff needs. Please park on the street.
