Family Art – Monet
Family Art Project: Explore the colorful world of Impressionist artist Claude Monet in this fun, hands-on art class. Participants will learn about Monet’s love of gardens, water, light, and changing seasons before creating their own Impressionist-inspired artwork using repurposed and reclaimed materials. Families will experiment with color, texture, layering, and loose brushstrokes while discovering how everyday materials can be transformed into beautiful art. No previous art experience is required, and all ages are encouraged to create together!
Materials Included: All necessary tools and materials.
PLEASE NOTE: There is NO PARKING in the back lot for daytime classes due to staff needs. Please park on the street.

Instructor: Sarena Vasquez
Sarena (she/they) is an artist, yogi, and self-compassion enthusiast! She has a BFA in animation and feels a profound sense of purpose through community-centered initiatives. Her favorite way to explore creativity is through “play” where she tries to create without judgment, expectation, or rigidity. Sarena’s desire is to express herself with love & authenticity and to help others do the same – especially for the Queer and Neurodivergent community, through the wonderful world of art.
