Family Art – Cassatt Paintings
Ages: All – Children under 8 must attend with an adult, which would be one signup
Family Art Project: Known for her beautiful portrayals of parents, children, and everyday life, Marie Cassatt captured moments of love, comfort, and togetherness with soft colors and expressive brushstrokes. Participants will learn about Cassatt’s life and Impressionist painting style before creating their own family-inspired artwork using acrylic paints, oil pastels, and mixed-media techniques. You will explore color, composition, and texture while creating portraits or scenes that reflect your own special relationships and memories. This engaging workshop encourages creativity, observation, and meaningful family collaboration.
Materials Included: All necessary tools and materials.

Instructor: Sarena Vasquez
Sarena (she/they) is an artist, yogi, and self-compassion enthusiast! She has a BFA in animation and feels a profound sense of purpose through community-centered initiatives. Her favorite way to explore creativity is through “play” where she tries to create without judgment, expectation, or rigidity. Sarena’s desire is to express herself with love & authenticity and to help others do the same – especially for the Queer and Neurodivergent community, through the wonderful world of art.
Location:
All classes take place UPSTAIRS in our CREATIVE SPACE unless otherwise noted. Use the exterior stairs on the side of the building to enter.
