Prerequisite: Must know the basic workings of the straight stitch sewing machine.
Description: This class is for those who want to continue developing knowledge of how to use a sewing machine. and some of the tools associated with construction. We review what most machines can do, such as stitch variations, stitch length and width, zig zag capabilities, gathering stitch, and darning stitch. Students may learn techniques such as top-stitching, double-fold hem, tucks, and stitch-in-the-ditch. Apply some skills by making a simple project as time allows.
Materials Included: Sewing machines, fabrics and all necessary tools and materials

My name is Megan Bright and I am excited to have you in class! I’ve been sewing by my grandmother’s inspiration since around 2004. I studied apparel design at university and moved to beautiful California in 2017 to pursue work in costume design. Currently I enjoy teaching, sewing with friends, and working as an alterations specialist for red-carpet events.
Location:
All classes take place UPSTAIRS in our CREATIVE SPACE unless otherwise noted. Use the exterior stairs on the side of the building to enter.
